It is important that a patient understands what is wrong with him. Explanations, possibly with pictures or a drawing, can increase understanding. When you come to the hospital as a patient, you feel very dependent on the care providers you will be dealing with. It is important not to betray that trust. I go home feeling good when my patients are satisfied and so are my colleagues.
