A treatment with Botox can offer a solution. Botox is known as an anti-wrinkle agent but is also very effective against excessive sweating. Botox blocks the action of the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands, causing them to stop producing sweat.
During the treatment, small quantities of Botox are injected into the area to be treated approximately every centimetre. The treatment takes about 20-30 minutes.
Sweating is minimal after about two weeks. The duration of action is on average 4 to 6 months and the treatment can be repeated thereafter.
